Over the course of almost 20 years, I've found and lugged around full photo albums, slide collections, scrapbooks and other ephemera of lives lived and lost. These incredible portraits of strangers have been reclaimed in London flea markets, Chicago thrift stores, storerooms in India, the Pasadena Rose Bowl and other flimflam joints across the globe. To me, these records symbolize love, loss, historical account, memory and narrative. I literally and figuratively draw from the collection; stories they tell about lives which reveal themselves through image and sequence, as well as stories they tell about the person who attempts to interpret what they think they might be seeing.
In the future, I'll post when and where slideshows and events for presenting this collection will be. Below are a few of the hundreds, if not thousands of slides, photos, albums and other photographic/ephemeral work that are in my care.
